thank you tailwind

another fun, relaxing day. did about 75 miles from just outside of vegas to a small town called alamo. ride was pleasant with only a little climbing. luckily had a tailwind for much of the time so had a very easy day overall. i know it probably sounds stupid for me to say an easy 75 mile day, but with good winds, fun people to ride with and tight pacelines it really makes a big difference. arrived at alamo just in time to watch nate conclude a lecture about volunteerism and getting involved with healthcare careers to a group of middle school kids at pahranagat high school. the kids were fantastic and enthusiastic and asked a lot of good questions. nate did a great job interacting with a group of kids at a difficult age. the people here were also nice enough to let us sleep in their gym (loaded with basketballs!) and use thier facilities, including the home-economics room where marianne cooked us an amazing dinner. continued on to windmill ridge bakery for some delicious desserts. also a pleasant surprise getting internet today. tomorrow we do another 70-80 mile day to panaca, hoping for similar wind patterns.
